The Wilderness Desk

Cover of a book featuring a sunset over rocks and ocean witha man surfing. There is text mentioning 'The Wilderness Desk,' authors Charlie Duffield and Connor Tierney, and themes including heritage and rebellion.

The Wilderness Desk is my mind poured onto paper — places, faces and chance meetings. Though the title hints at the outdoors, it’s really about my thoughts on photography and creativity: the sparks that link stories, ideas, locations and commissions. Sometimes I’m on the Cornish coast, sometimes in the city shooting fashion, music or sport. I’m drawn to community, heritage, grassroots and subcultures — life on your patch.

It’s about local knowledge and taking time to talk to people: where to go, what to do and when. My camera is a passport into different worlds — often unseen, or heard about but leave indelible memories in my mind.
